Position Overview
Blazer Jobs is actively hiring a qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to serve K-12 students in the Houston, TX metro area for the 2025-2026 school year . This is a full-time, on-site position in a collaborative school setting that offers mentorship, growth, and the chance to make a direct impact on students' communication skills.
Key Responsibilities Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
Assist with the implementation of therapy goals as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) .
Collect data on student performance and document progress toward goals.
Prepare therapy materials and assist with scheduling and session planning.
Collaborate with supervising SLP, teachers, and school staff to support student success.
Support generalization of communication skills within the classroom and school environment.
Maintain accurate service logs and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines.
Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant studies or a related field.
Valid Texas SLPA license (required).
Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and take direction from supervising SLP.
Compassionate and student-centered approach to therapy.
Compensation & Benefits Hourly rate : Starting at $40.00/hour (based on experience)
