We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Audiologist to join our team. The Audiologist will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with hearing and related auditory disorders. A key part of this role includes guiding patients through the process of selecting, fitting, and purchasing hearing aids and assistive listening devices. This includes educating patients on available technology options, recommending appropriate solutions based on lifestyle and budget, and ensuring ongoing satisfaction through adjustments, repairs, and follow-up care. We require a patient centric approach and attitude.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct professional, compassionate interactions with patients and physicians
  • Collaborate with staff to meet or exceed office goals and patient care standards
  • Perform comprehensive hearing evaluations using diagnostic testing and consultative methods
  • Educate patients on hearing health, clearly explaining results and treatment options
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the latest hearing aid technologies and accessories
  • Recommend individualized hearing solutions based on each patients needs and lifestyle
  • Counsel patients and their families on hearing loss prevention, communication strategies, and ongoing care
  • Conduct thorough ear examinations using:
    • Handheld otoscope to assess ear anatomy
    • Hearing booth testing with insert earphones and bone conduction headsets
    • Accurate ear impressions for custom earmolds or devices
    • Other diagnostic tools as needed
  • Fit, program, dispense, and repair hearing aids and earmolds with precision
  • Provide ongoing patient care, including device cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Document all patient interactions and treatment progress electronically in the chart
  • Participate in community outreach events to promote hearing health
  • Support marketing initiatives, including written, online, and in-person campaigns
  • Contribute to the growth and success of the practice through exceptional patient care and team collaboration

Required Qualifications :

  • Licensed or certified to practice as an Audiologist or Hearing Instrument Specialist, in accordance with state/provincial regulations (e.g., NBC-HIS, state licensure, or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in fitting and dispensing hearing aids and delivering patient-centered care
  • Demonstrated passion for improving hearing health and enhancing quality of life
  • Proven ability to guide patients in selecting appropriate amplification solutions
  • Exceptional compassion, patience, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and clinical judgment
  • Excellent communication abilities , both verbal and written
  • Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of testing, fitting, and documentation
  • Ability to present confidently in both one-on-one settings and, preferably, group environments
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Commitment to continuing education and staying current with industry best practices, research, and technology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with multiple hearing aid manufacturers and programming software
  • Familiarity with real-ear measurement (REM) and verification techniques
  • Experience with community outreach , patient education workshops, or health fairs
  • Strong sales and counseling skills with a consultative, not transactional, approach
  • Comfort with electronic health record (EHR) systems and modern practice management software
