Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract This position offers a full-time, contract role as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) at two schools (middle and high school) located in Arlington Heights, IL. The assignment runs from August 4, 2025, through May 21, 2026, with orientation on August 4 and 5, and first student contact starting August 6, 2025. This role requires 37.5 hours per week supporting elementary school students through speech and language interventions tailored to help them actively participate in classroom activities. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate students' participation in academic and social settings by addressing fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care abilities. Adapt tasks or environments to meet individual student needs effectively. Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing as required. Prepare detailed, clear, and insightful reports based on assessments and observations. Develop and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives and accommodations. Collaborate closely with parents and colleagues to communicate student progress and address areas needing support. Qualifications: Must hold or be eligible for an Illinois state license as an SLP or CFY. Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
