Job Description
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year at a high school in Hollister, CA. This full-time, in-person role operates Monday through Friday during the regular school year and focuses on supporting students K-12 with speech and language needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments of students speech, language, and auditory abilities.
- Collaborate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to interpret assessment data and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning.
- Provide consultative and advisory services to school personnel regarding speech and language remediation.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, staff, and healthcare agencies to monitor progress and support student development.
- Assist in developing appropriate language programs within school and community settings.
Qualifications:
- Active California Speech Language Pathologist license.
- Experience with special education processes, including assessment, evaluation, and consultation.
- Commitment to supporting students with special education needs.
- Ability to develop positive professional relationships with students, families, staff, and community partners.
- Strong communication skills, including active listening and collaboration.
- Familiarity with early learning and atypical impairments is a plus.
- Prior school-based experience preferred.
