Speech Therapist Opportunity Join Lakota Local Schools Full-Time

Lakota Local Schools is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide assessments and therapy services that empower students to develop the communication skills needed for success in school and life. This is a great chance to join a collaborative, student-focused team.

Position Overview:
As an SLP, you will assess student abilities, design individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapy for diverse speech and language needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech-language evaluations and prepare clear, comprehensive reports

• Develop and implement therapy plans aligned with IEP goals

• Address articulation, fluency, receptive/expressive language, and pragmatic communication

• Partner with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress

• Attend IEP meetings and share recommendations and updates

• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology

• Active Ohio SLP License

• Ohio Department of Education Certification for School-Based SLPs

• ASHA CCC strongly preferred

• School-based or pediatric experience preferred

• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Job Details:

• Type: Full-time, onsite

• Schedule: MondayFriday during school hours

• Caseload: K12 students (assignments determined by district needs)
