Speech-Language Pathologist Needed Support Communication Skills in Lakota Local Schools

Lakota Local Schools is hiring a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide evaluations and therapy that help students develop strong communication skills essential for learning and social success. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, student-centered team.

Position Overview:
As an SLP, you will assess student needs, develop individualized therapy plans, and deliver interventions addressing a variety of speech and language challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and prepare clear reports

• Develop and implement therapy plans aligned with IEP goals

• Address articulation, fluency, receptive/expressive language, and pragmatic communication

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress

• Attend IEP meetings and contribute recommendations and updates

• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and district regulations

Required Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology

• Active Ohio SLP License

• Ohio Department of Education Certification for School-Based SLPs

• ASHA CCC strongly preferred

• School-based or pediatric experience preferred

• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Job Details:

• Type: Full-time, onsite

• Schedule: MondayFriday during school hours

• Caseload: K12 students (assignments determined by district needs)
