Occupational Therapist Opportunity Join Dearborn City Schools Full-Time

Dearborn City Schools is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to help students build the functional skills they need for success in school and daily activities. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a supportive, collaborative educational team.

Position Overview:
As an OT, you will assess student needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapy that fosters fine motor, adaptive, and sensory skill development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and write clear, comprehensive reports

• Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with IEP objectives

• Provide therapy focusing on fine motor coordination, self-care routines, and sensory processing

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote progress

• Attend IEP meetings and share recommendations and updates

• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy

• Active Michigan Occupational Therapy License

• Michigan Department of Education Certification for School-Based OT

• Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred

• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills

Job Details:

• Type: Full-time, onsite

• Schedule: MondayFriday during school hours

• Caseload: K12 students (assignments determined by district needs)
