Occupational Therapist Needed Empower Functional Skills in Dearborn City Schools

Dearborn City Schools is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to help students build fine motor, adaptive, and sensory skills essential for success in school and daily life. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team dedicated to student growth.

Position Overview:
As an OT, you will assess student needs, design individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapy that supports participation and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and prepare thorough reports

• Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with IEP goals

• Address fine motor coordination, sensory processing, and self-care abilities

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress

• Attend IEP meetings and share recommendations and updates

• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines

Required Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy

• Active Michigan Occupational Therapy License

• Michigan Department of Education Certification for School-Based OT

• School-based or pediatric experience preferred

• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Job Details:

• Type: Full-time, onsite

• Schedule: MondayFriday during school hours

• Caseload: K12 students (assignments determined by district needs)
