Occupational Therapist Support Student Growth in Rochester Community Schools

Rochester Community Schools is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to help students develop the fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills they need for classroom success and daily independence. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, student-focused team.

Position Overview:
As an OT, you will assess student abilities, design individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapy that empowers students to participate confidently in school and daily life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and prepare detailed reports

• Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with IEP goals

• Address fine motor development, self-care routines, and sensory processing needs

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress

• Attend IEP meetings and provide recommendations and updates

• Maintain accurate documentation to comply with district and state regulations

Required Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy

• Active Michigan Occupational Therapy License

• Michigan Department of Education Certification for School-Based OT

• School-based or pediatric experience preferred

• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Job Details:

• Type: Full-time, onsite

• Schedule: MondayFriday during school hours

• Caseload: K12 students (assignments determined by district needs)
