School Speech Therapist Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania

A dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract role from September 9, 2025, through June 9, 2026, working in-person with K12 students in Wilkes Barre, PA. This position involves providing tailored speech, language, voice, and fluency therapy to support students communicative development within a collaborative educational setting.

Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive evaluations, developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that reflect each students unique needs, and delivering both direct and indirect therapy services. The SLP will collaborate closely with educators, special education staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive support. Maintaining detailed documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines is essential, alongside active participation in IEP meetings and providing regular progress reports.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid Pennsylvania SLP License or eligibility
• Pennsylvania Department of Education Certification (Instructional Level I or II) preferred
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Candidates in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are encouraged to apply
• Previous school-based experience is advantageous but not required
