Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) West Columbia, South Carolina

Providing speech-language pathology services within a K-12 school setting in Irmo, SC, this contract position offers a full school year schedule with 37.5 hours per week. The role is onsite only, supporting students across grades K-12 with a focus on assessment, IEP development, and direct therapy.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive student assessments to identify speech and language needs
• Developing individualized goals aligned with IEP requirements
• Participating in and leading IEP meetings to collaborate with educators and families
• Delivering direct speech-language therapy services tailored to each students needs
• Managing appropriate documentation and progress monitoring in accordance with school policies

Qualifications and experience desired:

• Hold a valid South Carolina license in speech-language pathology
• Possess an Educator certificate for school-based practice
• Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) acceptable; note that Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) and candidates without CFY completion are not eligible due to supervision requirements
• Experience in pediatrics, healthcare, and school environments preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively manage caseload and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Additional details:

• Position is itinerant with paid travel time between schools; mileage reimbursement to be confirmed
• Three openings available for qualified SLP professionals
• Contract runs for the full school year (NSY)
