Providing speech-language pathology services within a K-12 school setting in Irmo, SC, this contract position offers a full school year schedule with 37.5 hours per week. The role is onsite only, supporting students across grades K-12 with a focus on assessment, IEP development, and direct therapy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive student assessments to identify speech and language needs
- Developing individualized goals aligned with IEP requirements
- Participating in and leading IEP meetings to collaborate with educators and families
- Delivering direct speech-language therapy services tailored to each students needs
- Managing appropriate documentation and progress monitoring in accordance with school policies
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Hold a valid South Carolina license in speech-language pathology
- Possess an Educator certificate for school-based practice
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) acceptable; note that Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) and candidates without CFY completion are not eligible due to supervision requirements
- Experience in pediatrics, healthcare, and school environments preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively manage caseload and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Additional details:
- Position is itinerant with paid travel time between schools; mileage reimbursement to be confirmed
- Three openings available for qualified SLP professionals
- Contract runs for the full school year (NSY)
- Location: Irmo, SC (serving K-12 students on-site)
