A dynamic opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support K-12 students in a diverse school environment located in Portales, NM. This position involves delivering both direct and indirect speech therapy services aligned with individual student IEPs, ensuring that students receive comprehensive communication support throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language pathology services in accordance with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Collaborate effectively with staff, students, and parents, demonstrating strong communication skills even during high-stress or crisis situations.
  • Travel between multiple school buildings as needed throughout the workday.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable certification and program requirements.
  • Commit to onsite work; virtual service delivery is not available.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Speech Communications or Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree from an SLPA program.
  • Active SLPA certification is required.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced school setting.
  • Willingness to travel onsite between school sites during the workday.
