Travel Physical Therapist - Inpatient

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist experienced in inpatient orthopedic and neuro cases, with a SC PT license and AHA BLS certification required.

Responsibilities
  • Inpatient physical therapy unit focused on orthopedic (same day joints and ortho trauma), neuro, medical, ICU, cardiac, renal, oncology, trauma, and stroke cases
  • Work hours are 08:30-17:00
  • Caseload typically starts with 10 evaluations per day, with the possibility of additional treatments
  • Physical therapy plans of care are developed toward both short and long-term goals
  • Main responsibilities include performing patient evaluations, developing treatment plans, and providing evidence-based care
  • Work involves collaborating with other therapists, staff, and family members as needed
  • Participates in internal meetings and educational sessions relevant to the discipline
  • Must adhere to APTA documentation standards and facility policies
  • Supervises operations of the treatment team and regularly meets with PTAs to discuss patient goals
  • Clean, safe, and orderly work area must be maintained per facility guidelines
  • Upholds patient confidentiality and service excellence standards at all times
Requirements
  • Current South Carolina LLR PT license required if applicable
  • AHA BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in acute inpatient physical therapy
  • Proficiency in evaluation and treatment of orthopedic, neuro, trauma, and medically complex patients
