This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is set within a K-12 school serving a diverse student body, including students with Autism, Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), and Learning Disabilities (LD). The contract spans from August 21, 2025, through June 8, 2026, offering an engaging educational environment with a caseload of approximately 40 students.
Location: Plainfield, Illinois
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations and therapy to students with diverse communication needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of students with Autism, SLD, and LD.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support students communication development and academic progress.
- Monitor, document, and report students' progress effectively.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and planning.
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Experience working with children in a school setting, especially with students on the autism spectrum and with learning disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 40 students efficiently and compassionately.
- Commitment to supporting the educational and social development of students.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, 35 hours per week
