Travel Speech Therapist - Rehab

American Traveler is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for adult inpatient and outpatient rehab, requiring SLP license and 2 years of related experience.

• Work in a hospital-based inpatient rehab unit with potential outpatient responsibilities for adult patients
• Patient population includes adults 18 and over with speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing deficits
• Schedule consists of day shifts from 8:00am to 5:00pm, up to 5 shifts per week
• Weekend, holiday, and potential on-call coverage required for inpatient care
• Floating may occur within the rehab department in rotation with staff and per clinical experience
• Kronos system used for timekeeping via badge swipe
• Evaluate and treat adults with speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing deficits and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide follow-up care on inpatient acute floors and in outpatient settings
• Complete 3-6 hours of non-billable modules during orientation
• Dress code is business casual or scrubs with a white lab coat
• Must have been gone at least one year if previously worked at this facility
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers

• Valid SLP license required if applicable
• Masters degree or equivalent post-graduate education required for SLP licensure
• Minimum 2 years of experience in adult inpatient acute care and/or outpatient adult rehab
• Experience in acute hospital setting, adult swallow evaluation and treatment, and cognitive evaluation and treatment required
• Trach and ventilator experience necessary
• Outpatient skills should include speech and swallow evaluation and treatment for neurologic conditions
• COVID vaccination status required
