GENERAL DESCRIPTION: To assist in providing occupational therapy to students with disabilities while working under the direction and supervision of an occupational therapist.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Ohio Occupational Therapy Assistant License.
Valid Ohio Department of Education Occupational Therapy Assistant License.
Valid Ohio drivers license.
Knowledge of IDEA rules and regulations, and best practices for the provision of therapy services for children in their least restrictive environment.
Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population of students, families, and staff.
Access to own motor vehicle during work hours.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and community.
Demonstrated ability to work/operate as a team member.
History of good job attendance.
Must pass criminal background checks and be free from communicable diseases.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary and work year as established by the Governing Board. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non - prescribed controlled substance use in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
