Responsibilities
-Evaluate and assess patients to develop customized therapy programs aimed at restoring maximum function and minimizing disability following disease, injury, or congenital conditions.
-Prepare treatment Equipment and supplies as needed for each session.
-Provide Manual Therapy, Therapeutic Activities, and Instruction in adaptive techniques
-Create and fabricate custom splints to support upper extremity rehabilitation
-Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records
-Perform clerical duties to support daily clinic operations
-Operate in accordance with the physician's orders and under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
Qualifications
-Masters degree in Occupational Therapy.
-Current licensure to practice occupational therapy (as required by state regulations).
-Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a hand rehabilitation clinic.
-Strong knowledge of upper extremity anatomy and conditions.
-Splinting experience with the creativity and skill to fabricate custom-fit splints.
-Excellent judgment and critical thinking skills to plan and accomplish therapeutic goals.
-Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
-Experience working in hand therapy is preferred but not requiredwe will provide training for the right candidate who is motivated to learn and grow in this specialty area.
