Description

  • Conduct assessments of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized tests and personalized observations.
  • Design customized treatment strategies that align with both immediate and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to develop cohesive care strategies.
  • Provide education to patients and their families to foster continued progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Perform occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care across the treatment continuum.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in adherence to state, federal, and institutional regulations.
  • Stay abreast of developments in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
