Director of Curriculum Location: Hanover, IN Job Id: 220 # of Openings: 1 Director of Curriculum, Occupational Therapy Program Hanover College seeks applications for the Director of Curriculum for a hybrid Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program. The Director of Curriculum is responsible for all program curricular planning, implementation, and review processes and will work directly with program faculty to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated curriculum based on foundational documents, best evidence, and contemporary clinical practice. The Director of Curriculum will: Serve as the chair of the Curriculum Committee. Assist Program Director in the management of core and adjunct faculty, to include teaching responsibilities, course evaluations, syllabi development, and professional development. Educate all core and adjunct faculty regarding the curriculum plan, to include integration, threads, and their role in curriculum development and review. Ensure proper sequencing of courses within the curriculum. Coordinate class scheduling to optimize learning sequence. Ensure that curriculum review is an ongoing process, culminating in an Annual Curriculum Review. Assist with oversight to the Program Assessment Plan and ACOTE reporting. Ensure that program policies, procedures, and practices that fall under the responsibility and scope of the Director of Curriculum role provide for compliance with accreditation policies and procedures. Serve as the OTD program's liaison with Evidence in Motion (EIM) on curricular related issues. Represent the OTD Program within the College, the community, and the profession of occupational therapy. The Director of Curriculum will hold a 12-month, administrative appointment with teaching responsibilities and the faculty rank of Assistant, Associate, or full Clinical Professor in the Department. This position requires travel to the lab immersion space up to six times per year. Qualifications: Earned doctorate in a discipline appropriate for leadership responsibilities. Demonstrated competence in curriculum development and teaching. Contemporary expertise in occupational therapy practice. Minimum of five years full-time teaching experience in an entry-level occupational therapy program and three years clinical practice experience. Occupational Therapist license in the state of residence and eligible for occupational therapist licensure in Indiana. Knowledge of legislative, regulatory, legal, and practice issues affecting didactic and clinical education, students, and the profession of occupational therapy. Established record of scholarly activity. Active in service at local, state, or national levels. Experience consistent with Hanover College system for faculty rank.
