Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract We're seeking a dedicated, compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students with mild to severe communication needs across Canyon County's diverse educational settings. You'll work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive SLP services that enhance student success and inclusion in school activities. Key Responsibilities Assessment & Evaluation Conduct formal and informal speech/language screenings and evaluations Identify student strengths and create Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Therapy & Treatment Provide tailored therapy for articulation, language, fluency, voice, pragmatic skills, and AAC use Adjust therapy strategies to meet diverse ability levels and communication modalities IEP Development & Team Collaboration Write and manage IEP goals/objectives aligned with student needs Engage in regular collaboration with teachers, school psychologists, SLPA's, classroom paraeducators, and families Progress Monitoring & Reporting Regularly document student progress and adapt plans as needed Prepare and submit intervention reports and IEP progress notes Professional Communication Conduct parent/family consultations and coordinate IEP review meetings Serve as a resource for staff on communication strategies and interventions Multi-Setting Support Deliver services in various settings (e.g., pull-out, push-in, classroom support) Provide guidance to SLPA's and paraprofessionals on therapy activities and data collection Team & Support SLPA's & Paraeducators You'll receive on-site support from credentialed speech-language pathology assistants and qualified paraeducators at each school site. Collaborative Culture Work within inclusive education teamsenjoy cross-disciplinary planning with special education staff, teachers, psychologists, and counselors. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid SLP credential and current CFY or CCC-SLP Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligible for California SLP licensure Experience assessing/treating students across mild to severe disabilities Familiarity with school-based SLP practicesIEP development, academic collaboration Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with SLPA's, paras, staff, and families Preferred: experience implementing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)
