A contracted Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position is available within a K-12 school setting in Albany, Oregon. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with occupational therapists to implement therapeutic interventions tailored to individual student needs
- Assist in evaluating student progress and modifying treatment plans accordingly
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students to help improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities
- Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with school policies and regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with educators, families, and other team members to coordinate care and support student goals
- Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience working with children in a school-based setting, K-12 preferred
- Knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy techniques and educational accommodations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to special education services
