A K-12 educational institution in Aurora, IL is actively seeking a skilled Audiologist to provide comprehensive audiological services within a school setting. This contract position offers the opportunity to support students auditory health and facilitate their communication development in a dynamic learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hearing assessments and screenings for students across all grade levels.
- Develop and implement individualized auditory management plans.
- Recommend and fit assistive listening devices as appropriate.
- Collaborate with educators, speech-language pathologists, and families to support students communication needs.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with school and state regulations.
- Provide training and education to staff and students regarding hearing health and auditory accommodations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current and valid state licensure as an Audiologist.
- Experience working with children in educational or clinical settings, preferably in K-12 schools.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric audiology and hearing conservation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Familiarity with educational laws and requirements related to hearing impairments.
