An opportunity is available for a dedicated Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist to support K-12 students in an educational setting located in Kelly, WY. This contract position involves working closely with students, educators, and families to provide specialized instruction and resources that enhance learning for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students with hearing impairments.
- Provide direct instruction and support using specialized communication methods and assistive technologies.
- Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other specialists to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Conduct assessments and monitor student progress to adjust strategies as needed.
- Offer training and resources to staff and families regarding best practices for supporting students with hearing loss.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist or related credentials.
- Experience working within K-12 educational settings.
