An opportunity is available for a skilled Audiologist to support K-12 students in a school setting. This contract position is based in Maple Valley, WA, and plays a vital role in ensuring students receive the appropriate hearing support needed to enhance their educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments for students across kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Develop and implement individualized audiology care plans tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support students with hearing impairments.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to evaluations, treatments, and progress.
- Provide recommendations for assistive listening devices and hearing accommodations within the classroom.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to address student needs and progress.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as an Audiologist.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school or educational setting.
- Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to special education and audiology services.
