A specialized opportunity is available for a certified Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist to support students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a dedicated educational setting. This contract role is based in Kathleen, GA, and involves delivering tailored support and instruction to help students with hearing impairments achieve their academic and social potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Collaborate with teachers, speech therapists, and other educational professionals to modify curriculum and classroom environments
  • Provide direct instruction using strategies appropriate for students with hearing loss
  • Utilize assistive technologies and communication methods, including sign language and hearing devices
  • Offer guidance and support to families and caregivers regarding hearing loss and educational strategies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification or licensure as a Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist
