A dynamic opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services within a K-12 school setting in Tuscaloosa, AL. This contract position involves working with a diverse student population to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders, supporting student success across all grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students unique needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to monitor progress and adjust interventions
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with school policies and regulatory standards
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to practice in Alabama
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working in educational settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and school personnel
- Proficient in documentation and use of therapy technology
