Physical Therapist Assistant - Home Health

Hillcrest Health & Living is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Lincoln Home Care team! We are interested in lifelong learners who are able to operate independently and have great time management.

This position enhances the lives of individuals by following a plan of PT treatment established by a physical therapist using evidence-based techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function and prevent disability.

What does a day in the life look like?

• Complete patient treatments in accordance with established plan of care.
• Completes accurate charging of services and provides documentation to support charges.
• Initiates regular communication back to the supervising physical therapist about patient care issues, departmental concerns, and specific ideas affecting goals and treatment plan development.
• Manages each patient's plan of care effectively by timely interdisciplinary collaboration and communication with physician involvement as needed.

What should I have to be considered for this position?

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapist assistant program required.
• At least two years of experience performing as a PTA in long term care, post-acute, hospital, home care or similar setting preferred.
• Must be licensed in the state of Nebraska or compact state as a PTA.
• Must have BLS certification or be willing to obtain within 45 days of hire.
