The Clinical Case Manager works in concert with a multi-discipline treatment team consisting of behavioral staff, special educators and teachers to provide trauma informed care for our students and support for staff. In a therapeutic milieu they provide treatment planning, behavior planning, and clinical supervision for staff. They attend and/or facilitate treatment team meetings and other team meetings. The position requires close collaboration with school staff and partners from outside the agency.Essential Duties - Provide clinical crisis support and intervention for students by providing one-on-one counselling, group therapy and integrated therapeutic practices in the Laraway School.- Communicates frequently with related mental health professionals and addresses mental health concerns with students throughout the day.- Actively participates in Laraway School and agency meetings, trainings, events, etc.- Completes all related program specific, agency related and regulatory paperwork, accurately and in a timely manner.- Builds and maintains professional relationships and appropriate boundaries with staff, clients and community.- Fosters a positive approach to problem solving and maintains a positive environment.- Models and utilizes best practices when working one-on-one or in small groups.- Develop and maintain trauma informed best practices: connection, building relationships, namingemotions, co-regulation, empathy, acceptance, congruence, presence, and attunement. Maintainawareness of own affect, posture, body language, and complexity and tone of language. Staff should becomfortable asking for a break and peers comfortable subbing staff out and letting staff know they canstep in and give a break.- Participate in ongoing evaluations and reviews of Individual Plan of Care (IPC), Individual Education Plan, and behavior support plans; support student in understanding of these plans and supports- Excellent communication skills and flexibility are a must for this position.

Qualifications and Education Requirements: - LCMHC or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Mental Health/Social Work Counselor - license MUST be current)- Masters Degree in counseling or social work- Prior experience involving direct service work in a clinical setting for youth.- Must have or be willing to obtain Handle with Care 1 & 2 and CPR/First Aid certifications- Successful Criminal Background Check, Valid drivers license, excellent driving record, and daily access to a safe, reliable, insured vehicle.Work/Physical Requirements:- Given the at-risk population served, the position requires ongoing training and preparedness in the execution of physical restraint techniques. This may require running to catch a child.
