Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients through both standardized assessments and observational methods.
  • Craft individualized therapy plans that focus on immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy services targeting communication, language proficiency, fluency, vocal expression, and swallowing challenges.
  • Engage in synergistic collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to establish effective treatment strategies.
  • Provide education and resources to patients and their families to encourage progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Participate in inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, guaranteeing a seamless continuum of care throughout the healing journey.
  • Ensure meticulous and timely documentation that aligns with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Commit to continuous growth by pursuing education and exchanging insights with peers in the field.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
