Key Responsibilities
* Assess patient needs thoroughly to develop individualized and effective rehabilitation plans focusing on speech, communication, and swallowing disorders.
* Deliver direct speech therapy services across various settings, including skilled nursing centers, outpatient clinics, and home-based care.
* Design and implement tailored programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients' communicative and swallowing abilities.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic and coordinated patient care.
* Educate patients and their caregivers on strategies and exercises to foster independence and improve daily functioning.
* Manage therapy equipment and contribute to team meetings and comprehensive patient care discussions.
Requirements
* A *Master's degree* in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders, or a similarly titled area consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
* *Licensed, certified, or credentialed* as required in the state of practice.
