Practice Hospitality is seeking a hospitable and friendly Spa Massage Therapist to join the team at the Mining Exchange Hotel.
About The Hotel
Mining Exchange Hotel & Spa was built in 1902 as a stock exchange for local mining companies, The Mining Exchange Hotel offers a one-of-a-kind experience in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs. Our elegant, yet casual public spaces and guestrooms are all newly renovated.
Job Role
The massage therapist is responsible for performing all massage services and additional related treatments. Also needs to provide a level of excellence in guest service both to internal and external guests.
Responsibilities:
- Perform massages while always maintaining the clients comfort.
- Provide 30-, 60- and 90-minute massages as required.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and neat work environment always, ensuring all equipment is in safe working order.
- Actively participate in other areas of the spa operation, such as body treatments, product knowledge and retail sales.
- Stock workstation for daily services, maintaining a clean work area throughout the day.
- Prepare the station for the guests arrival.
- Promptly greet guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner
- Provide services in an exceptionally timely, thorough, and professional manner.
- Perform services making guest satisfaction a priority while running on time for the next guests appointment.
- Maintain pleasant professional conversation throughout the services with focus on the guest.
- Be familiar with the guests name and address them using their name.
- Serve each guest with the utmost courtesy.
- Personalize all services and anticipate guest requests whenever possible.
- Constantly display outstanding, communication and guest relation skills
- Process dirty linens, fold, stock and put away clean linens.
- Demonstrate a professional attitude in all interactions with guests, staff, and vendors.
- Maintain a cooperative attitude in working with management and team members.
- Adhere to all Valor and Spa standards, procedures, and guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education: Licensed Colorado massage therapists. High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: 1-2 years experience as a massage therapists preferred.
Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of spa, massage and salon services, credential requirements, and practices. Strong team player and knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and/or Holidays as needed
- Successful completion of criminal background check
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Able to push/pull up to 100 lbs.
- Able to bend, stretch, and twist
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to work with chemicals according to directions
Job Type : FLSA Designation: Part-Time
Compensation: $11.79 per hour + service commission + tips
