Provides art therapy services to individual, group and family therapy. Assesses, plans and implements art therapy interventions in both individual and group formats. Organize and conduct music, art, recreation, or other therapy programs, depending on specialty, following all policies and procedures. Provides consultation to other team members with specific representation of the members within the families served.Job Description :

EDUCATION:
- Master's: Art therapy or in counseling/social work with concentration in art therapy.
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years recent relevant experience
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
- MFCC-Marriage Family Child Counselor or LCSW-Licensed Clinical Social Worker or LFMT-Licensed Family and Marriage Therapist or ATR-Registered Art Therapist or ATR-P Registered Provisional Art Therapist or ATC-Certified Art Therapist or APCC- Associate Professional Clinical Counselor or ATP-Art Therapy Practitioner accredited by IPHM
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Clinical assessment skills. knowledge of art therapy theory and practice.
- Knowledge and skills in utilizing the visual arts as therapeutic modalities with children, adolescents, and adults.
- Knowledge and skills necessary to provide therapeutic interventions to the age-specific needs of children and adolescents.
- Ability to gather and assess data reflective of the childs and familys developmental stage.
- Knowledge of child abuse report requirements and other significant regulations affecting clinical art therapy practice.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Must demonstrate interpersonal skills and ability to function in the context of team care.
- Ability to set up and disassemble supports/equipment/supplies for art therapy groups.
- Ability to handle sensitive issues, conflict with or among others, respectively direct and reinforce staff efforts; effectively plan and organize and prioritize work, and to effectively solve unique problems as they arise or identify when to consult supervisor.
- Ability to deals with a challenging work environment from time demands and conflicting priorities.
- Maintains a positive and professional image and demonstrate self-directed learning to meet professional development and/or license requirements.
- Ability to be aware of surroundings and respond to emergency and/or urgent events.
- Ability to communicate with possibly disoriented, combative patients.

Pay Range is $36.00 to $48.60 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidates experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
