Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available within a K-12 school setting in Danville, VA. This role offers the opportunity to support speech-language services throughout the school year on a contractual basis, working approximately 37.5 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: Assist certified speech-language pathologists in providing direct therapy to students demonstrating communication disorders. Implement individualized treatment plans under supervision, targeting speech, language, and related communication goals. Maintain detailed records of student progress and prepare reports as required. Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to optimize student communication outcomes. Manage scheduling and caseload logistics in coordination with the speech-language pathology team. Desired Qualifications and Experience: Current SLPA certification/license appropriate for school-based practice.
