We're looking for an Occupational Therapist to provide direct services to students in our ISBE-approved Therapeutic Day School.

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION:

On-site position, Monday-Friday.

40 hours per week.

Salary range $64,000-$73,000/year (exempt).

Salary based on skills and experience.

Up to 8% annual bonus potential.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Conduct OT evaluations and write IEP-based goals.

Deliver individual and group therapy sessions.

Collaborate with teachers and therapists to support student growth.

Provide caregiver training and home programming.

Support sensory and functional classroom needs.

Document services and participate in IEP meetings.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING:

Education/Training:

Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.

Current State of Illinois License for Occupational Therapist (IDFPR).

Experience:

Experience working which children and adults ages 3-22 years.

Experience with autism spectrum disorders and other diagnosis (i.e., Intellectual disability, Developmental delay, etc.).

Skill Sets:

Ability to fulfill all necessary training requirements of the agency, including but not limited to, crisis management (crisis mangagement training includes de-escalataion strategies and physical management techniques).

Ability to conduct and interpret assessments via team and individual evaluations.

Ability to plan and conduct individual and group therapies.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to promote and adhere to company values.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The person in this position needs to occasionally move about to assist clients/students, access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

The ability to observe details at a close range (within a few feet of the observer).

Consistently position self to maintain files in file cabinets or assist clients/students.

The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The person in this position may encounter clients exhibiting physical aggression; must be comfortable working in periods of crisis and feel comfortable de-escalating individually or as a team.
