Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups, utilizing both standardized assessments and insightful observational strategies.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that guide clients toward their short and long-term communication and swallowing objectives.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focused on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Team up with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to create a cohesive and effective care plan.
• Provide education and resources to patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Assist with occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the treatment process.
• Maintain prompt and accurate documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and collaborative learning opportunities to stay at the forefront of the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not been earned yet.

Certifications

• Required state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of employment.
