  • Implement targeted interventions focused on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, vocal expression, and swallowing mechanics.
  • Engage with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, caregivers, and medical staff, to promote cohesive treatment approaches.
  • Provide essential education for patients and their families to support continued progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Occasionally conduct inpatient evaluations and provide therapy, ensuring a seamless treatment experience throughout the process.
  • Document patient progress and therapeutic interventions accurately, adhering to state and federal regulations.
  • Embrace ongoing professional growth and stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology through continued education and peer networking.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.

Licensure & Certifications

  • Must hold a state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
