Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standardized assessment tools and observational methods.
  • Create tailored treatment plans focused on immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques.
  • Work closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish integrated care strategies.
  • Educate patients and their families on best practices to enhance progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy, ensuring a seamless care continuum throughout the treatment process.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Commit to continuous learning by keeping abreast of advancements in the field through ongoing education and peer collaboration.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferably possess the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of hire.
