Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract A contract position is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support healthcare services within a K-12 school setting in Buffalo, NY. This role offers the opportunity to provide essential occupational therapy services tailored specifically to school-aged children, helping to improve their functional abilities and support their educational goals throughout the contract school year (CSY). Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy interventions to students in compliance with individualized education programs (IEPs). Collaborate with school staff, healthcare professionals, and families to develop and implement therapy plans. Monitor student progress and adjust therapeutic techniques as necessary. Maintain detailed records and documentation consistent with school and healthcare standards. Participate in evaluations, meetings, and training sessions as required. Qualifications: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential. Experience working within healthcare and/or school-based occupational therapy environments. Understanding of K-12 educational settings and student developmental stages. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow established protocols and maintain confidentiality.
