At Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, we’re looking for a skilled Audiologist to join our dedicated team and make a real difference in the lives of our patients. As an Audiologist, you will play a vital role in diagnosing, treating, and managing hearing and balance disorders. Whether you’re working with children, adults, or the elderly, your expertise will help patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life through tailored hearing solutions.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Perform detailed audiological evaluations to assess patients' hearing and balance function, using state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, including audiometry, ABR/ASSR (newborns included), VNG, and EcochG.
- Diagnose & Treat Hearing Disorders: Identify hearing impairments and disorders, from simple hearing loss to complex balance issues, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Fit & Maintain Hearing Aids: Help patients select and fit the most appropriate hearing aids and devices based on their unique needs, providing ongoing maintenance and follow-up care.
- Provide Education & Support: Educate patients and their families on hearing loss, treatment options, and how to maximize the use of hearing aids and other assistive devices.
- Collaborate with Medical Team: Work alongside physicians, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each patient.
- Offer Rehabilitation & Counseling: Provide auditory rehabilitation services and counseling to improve patients’ communication skills and overall quality of life.
- Create Meaningful Work: Help patients of all ages improve their hearing and quality of life through personalized care and the latest hearing technologies.
What we’re looking for:
- A Doctorate Degree (Ph.D. or Au.D.) in Audiology
- Audiologist License in Texas
- ASHS certificate of clinical competency is preferred
