Description

  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing abilities.
  • Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to ensure cohesive care strategies.
  • Provide essential education to patients and families to support ongoing progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Conduct occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout each patient's journey.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational requirements.
  • Stay informed on the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through continuous education and peer collaboration.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for candidates who are not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
