Peabody, KS School Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP/SLPA) Benefits Offered

SLP Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with mild to severe disabilities.
  • Provide direct therapy services in push-in and pull-out settings.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records.
  • Consult with teachers, parents and staff to support student needs.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations and Response to Intervention (RTI) processes.
  • Support social communication skills and language development.

Qualifications:

  • Required: Kansas SLP License or Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders (SLPAs)
  • Required: Ability to work onsite part-time or full-time
  • Required: Ability to commute
  • Preferred: Previous school-based experience
