Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing both standardized assessments and observational evaluations.
  • Craft tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate and future communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties.
  • Team up with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, caregivers, and families to coordinate effective care strategies.
  • Provide education to patients and families to reinforce progress outside of clinical encounters.
  • Assist with periodic inpatient evaluations and therapies, ensuring seamless care throughout the therapeutic journey.
  • Maintain complete and timely documentation in accordance with federal, state, and organizational standards.
  • Remain engaged with the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaborative opportunities.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hiring.
