Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract A school-based Occupational Therapist position is available for the 2024-2025 academic year in Union, ME, serving K-12 students. This contract role offers an opportunity to provide targeted support to a caseload of 10-15 students, working part-time at 2.5 days per week (approximately 20 hours). The assignment begins on September 2, 2024, and concludes on June 11, 2025. Responsibilities include: Conducting comprehensive OT assessments and evaluations for students requiring therapy services Developing individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals Implementing therapeutic interventions to enhance students' daily functioning and participation in school activities Collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress Maintaining accurate documentation and participating in IEP meetings as required Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations throughout service delivery Desired qualifications and experience: Valid Occupational Therapy licensure meeting all state requirements (non-negotiable) Experience working in a school-based setting with children across K-12 grade levels Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school staff Ability to manage a caseload efficiently within a part-time schedule Knowledge of evidence-based OT interventions and educational accommodations This role provides professional fulfillment by supporting student growth academically and functionally within a collaborative school environment.
