Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract This position offers a unique opportunity to work as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) serving K-12 students in a dynamic school environment in Bennington, VT. The role requires a dedicated professional to provide specialized speech and language services throughout the school year, supporting students across either two elementary schools or one middle school. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs Deliver high-quality, research-based speech and language instruction Assist in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, parents, and external agencies to support student success Monitor student progress using data-driven methods and adjust instruction accordingly Supervise paraprofessionals as needed to support service delivery Maintain consistent and professional communication with families to promote engagement and understanding Qualifications: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Valid Vermont state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology Experience providing speech and language services in K-12 school settings Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Strong organizational and communication skills Commitment to in-person, full-time service delivery (37.5 hours/week) Position Details: Location: Bennington, Vermont Contract Duration: Approximately August 27, 2025 - June 15, 2026, following the school calendar Caseload: 50-60 students across assigned schools This rewarding opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact on the communication development of students in a supportive educational environment.
