Part Time School-Based SLPA Position

Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Location: Park Forest, Illinois
Schedule: Part-Time | 3 Days Per Week
Caseload: High School (Grades 912)
Start: Upcoming School Year

We are seeking a dedicated SLPA to join a high school team in Park Forest, IL . This part-time role involves working closely under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in achieving their communication goals.

• Schedule: 3 days each week

• Caseload: Around 2530 students in grades 912

• Student Needs:

  • Mild to moderate language delays/disorders

  • Two students using AAC devices requiring device support and communication strategies

• Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering direct therapy services under SLP guidance

  • Preparing therapy materials and documenting student progress

  • Assisting with AAC implementation and troubleshooting

  • Collaborating with the SLP, teachers, and other school staff

• Active Illinois SLPA license/certification

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

• Previous school-based experience preferred but not required

• Comfort working with AAC technology is a plus
