Description

  • Conduct thorough assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations using standardized evaluations and clinical observations.
  • Create tailored treatment plans focusing on both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions addressing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
  • Work alongside physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care strategies.
  • Educate patients and their families, empowering them to continue their progress outside the clinic.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless patient care throughout the treatment process.
  • Keep precise and up-to-date documentation that meets state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Engage in ongoing education and peer collaboration to stay abreast of the latest developments in the field.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
