Category Schools - Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a skilled educator specialized in supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students within a K-12 school setting. This contract position offers the chance to provide direct and consultative services across all grade levels, fostering an inclusive learning environment tailored to students' unique communication needs. Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct instructional services to a caseload of approximately 25 DHH students. Provide consultative support to an additional caseload of 26 students, collaborating with classroom teachers and staff. Adapt and modify curriculum to meet individual student needs. Utilize specialized teaching strategies and technologies to enhance learning experiences. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records. Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Maintain compliance with district policies and state regulations for DHH education. Qualifications: Valid Deaf/Hard of Hearing teaching credential. Experience working with K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Strong communication skills, including proficiency in language modalities used by DHH students. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative educational environment. Flexibility to work across multiple school sites as needed. Location: Various school sites throughout Palo Alto, CA

Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week aligned with school site schedules, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break

Contract Duration: Immediate start with an end date on June 5, 2026 This role requires dedication to enhancing educational outcomes for DHH students through specialized instruction and collaboration.
