Education: Must hold a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) license from the appropriate state respiratory care board. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification by the American Heart Association is required.

The ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations, excellent communication skills, and manual dexterity to operate and assemble respiratory equipment are essential.
