Join a dedicated healthcare team providing comprehensive respiratory care across a multi-hospital regional system in the Southeastern United States. This full-time night shift role involves delivering all respiratory care modalities according to departmental protocols, responding promptly to resuscitation and respiratory emergencies, and maintaining accurate patient and departmental documentation.
Education and Certification: Candidates must hold a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) license from the state respiratory care board and be Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certified by the American Heart Association. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials must be obtained within 36 months of hire for continued employment.
Experience and Skills: A solid understanding of medical terminology and current respiratory care techniques is essential. The ability to remain calm and composed during stressful situations, including emergencies, is critical. Effective oral communication skills, manual dexterity for equipment operation, and physical stamina to stand, walk, and move patients or equipment are required.
Additional Requirements: Knowledge of psychosocial, physiological, and spiritual needs across all age groupsfrom infants to adultsis necessary to provide appropriate care and interventions. This position may involve exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials, so adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.
