Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A K-12 school in New York, NY is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to join their team for the upcoming school year on a contract basis. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic educational environment supporting students' communication development across all grade levels. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students from kindergarten through 12th grade Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to support student progress Maintain detailed records of student performance and therapy outcomes Participate in meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning and review sessions Provide guidance and strategies to staff on speech and language goals Required Qualifications: Valid SLP license appropriate for New York state practice Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and evidence-based intervention techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage caseload effectively and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Location: New York, NY This contract position is scheduled for the entire school year, offering consistent professional engagement with the student population.
